The Fourth Period: Chicago Blackhawks forward Jeremy Morin has requested to be traded. Morin is unhappy with his situation with the Blackhawks and has asked to be traded if things don’t change. Morin is in the first-year of a two-year, $1.6 million contract.

Carolina Hurricanes: Hurricanes GM Ron Francis is looking to make some roster adjustments and could end up trading the likes of defensemen Andrej Sekera, John-Michael Liles and Brett Bellemore.

Forwards Jay McClement and Jiri Tlusty, both of whom are scheduled to become unrestricted free agents next summer, could also be on the move.

The Hockey News: The LA Kings will be looking to make some moves to free up cap space for 2015-16 season. Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman believes the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins have interest in Kings right wing Jordan Nolan. Wingers Kyle Clifford or Dwight King could also attract some interest. The Kings have let teams know Mike Richards and Dustin Brown are available but their contracts will likely make them not trade-able.
