Another NHL injury to report and another torn Achilles tendon. Max Pacioretty tore his Achilles last week and now San Jose Sharks defenceman Nikolai Knyzhov is out with a torn right Achilles tendon.
Knyzhov has been plagued by injuries after missing all of last season with groin issues.
With Knyzhov going on LTIR it will give the team some much needed Sharks salary cap flexibility as they are a -1.2 million in the hole.
There is no word if they will look at add a depth defenceman via trade or have a good look at one of the Sharks defensive prospects.
The big question is, will this be the end of Knyzhov’s career in the NHL?
