After having a breakout season last year, Tage Thompson has agreed to a seven-year $50 million contract extension with the Buffalo Sabres.
Thompson, 24, put up 68 points (38g, 30a) in 78 games played last season.
Thompson was drafted 26th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He was traded to Sabres in a deal that sent forward Ryan O’Reilly to the Blues.
Tage has a no-trade clause in his contract that kicks in on July 1, 2024 where he submits a 5 team no trade list.
