The Nashville Predators have signed defenceman Jeremy Lauzon to a four-year, $8 million contract extension. Lauzon was an arbitration-eligible restricted free agent and will be a UFA at the expiry of this contract.

“Jeremy jumped right into our lineup with his physical style of play and fits the identity that we like to bring each night. At just 25 years old, he’s helped us further reach our goal of getting younger and he is thrilled about the opportunity to continue to improve and develop with our organization and in the city of Nashville.”

David Poile

Lauzon, 25, was drafted 52nd overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2nd round of the 2015 NHL entry draft. Over a career that spans 4 seasons he has a total 18 points in 142 games played, and 0 playoffs points in 16 games played.
