Jesse Puljujarvi and the Edmonton Oilers agree to a one-year, $3 million deal.

NHL trade rumors had swirled this offseason that the Edmonton Oilers were looking to trade Jesse Puljujarvi, but ultimately both sides sat down and agreed to a one-year deal worth $3 million.

Puljujarvi will still be a restricted free agent at the end of the next season which means this coming year will be a ‘show me what you can do’ year for Puljujarvi.

Puljujarvi, 24, was drafted 4th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1st round of the 2016 NHL entry draft. Currently over a career that spans 5 seasons , he has a total 98 points in 259 games played, and 5 playoffs points in 20 games played.
