The Tampa Bay Lightning have about $3 million salary cap space, and GM Steve Yzerman is looking to add blueline depth.
Yzerman and his team has been scouting New York Islanders D-man Andrew MacDonald and Kyle Quincey of the Detroit Red Wings.
Yzerman may not want to trade some of their youngsters but he could draft a draft pick or two for a rental defenseman.
