Trade rumors are going around that the Toronto Maple Leafs would move their 8th pick overall + Dion Phaneuf or Jake Gardiner for the 2014 #1 pick, and take either Sam Bennett or Sam Reinhart.
The Leafs have a Plethora of D-men and they would like to free up some cap space and Phaneuf could be the one that is moved.
If the Leafs cannot trade up for the #1 pick, they are targeting Nick Ritchie of the Peterborough Petes to take with their #8 pick.
