The big news for the Kings today was the signing of defenseman Mikey Anderson to an 8-year contract extension worth $33 million which gives the Kings a yearly salary cap hit of $4.125 million.
Anderson, 23, was drafted 103rd overall by the LA Kings in the 4th round of the 2017 NHL entry draft. Currently over a career that spans 4 seasons, he has a total 33 points in 172 games played, and 1 playoff point in 7 games played.
