J.T. Miller trade rumors are heating up, with the Montreal Canadiens emerging as a potential suitor. Will the Habs make a bold move to acquire the star forward?

The NHL trade deadline is fast approaching, and the Vancouver Canucks find themselves in a precarious position. With J.T. Miller likely to be traded, will he end up in a Habs uniform and what type of package will the Canucks receive for Miller?

While the New York Rangers have long been considered the frontrunners for Miller’s services, a recent mock trade has sent shockwaves through the hockey world: a deal that would send the star forward to the Montreal Canadiens.

The Proposed J.T. Miller Trade to the Habs:

A Bold Move for the Canadiens

The Canadiens, a team at the end of their rebuild, would be taking a significant risk by acquiring Miller. While he is a talented player, his contract and potential locker room impact are significant concerns.

However, the Canadiens could also benefit from Miller’s offensive prowess and leadership. Pairing him with young stars like Nick Suzuki, Juraj Slafkovský, and Cole Caufield could create a formidable top-six forward group.

Fan Reaction to Miller going to the Montreal Canadiens

The reaction to this mock trade has been mixed, with fans on both sides expressing their opinions. Some Canadiens fans are hesitant to acquire Miller, citing concerns about his fit with the team’s culture. Others believe that he could be the missing piece to help the team return to playoff contention.

  1. why in the name of anything holy would JT miller who is an underperforming 31 year old overpriced prima-donna be worth 4 players and a sure to be early first round pick. hes good, but not that good.

  2. Although I would love to see Miller with Montreal, I would hesitate to give Dach who is playing great right now since Laine is in the lineup. Also Evans is the greatest 4th line centre we have in the league and it takes a while to mold a player like that. I think we would go backwards instead of forward. We can tinker but not at the cost of 20 first round picks who the editor is saying. He must be a Leaf fan to write like this.

    • Seriously! Total BS!
Does the writer not remember that Miller is the problem child, not the 4 players listed..
I would give Dvorak, Havard, a 1st and Mesar or Davidson.. c’est tout my friend. No go.. find another sucker..

  3. Since Laine is in the line-up Dach has greatly improved and they have a good chemical; you don’t break this sorts of things.
Jake Evans is what makes the fourth line the best in the NHL and because they can play 4 lines, they manage their best players which saves stamina late in the game, especially in two games back to back and it decreases the odds of injuries. Evans is good on face-offs, PK, and is a good scorer that doesn’t cost a kidney. Why in the world would you trade an asset like him? So in return for a locker-room poison, the Habs would give a 2025 1st round pick, break Laine’s partner in crime and obliterate their fourth line. Sounds like a great plan for a tankathon!
