The Detroit Red Wings tried to trade Jordin Tootoo, but GM Ken Holland couldn’t find any takers.
Tootoo carries a $1.9 million salary cap hit this year and next, which is too much for many teams this year with the reduced salary cap.
Holland will continue to contact teams to see if there is interest in Tootoo.
