The NHL department of player safety has suspended Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn two games for his cross-check on Vegas Golden Knights forward Mark Stone.

If Dallas loses it’s next game and is knocked out of the Stanley Cup playoffs, Benn’s suspension would carry over into next season.

Benn was kicked out of game 3 less than two minutes into the game and given a 5 minute major and a game misconduct.

Benn’s penalty cost the Stars the game as the team was down 3-0 seven minutes into the game.

What are NHL fans saying about the Jamie Benn suspension?

So you’re telling me a player uses his stick as a felony assault on another player to do bodily harm only gets a two game suspension? Please explain?

Guess no one bought the “fell and used his stick to break his fall” story.

Be consistent. This was 2 games, but Pietrangelos swing on Draisaitl was 1? Eberle didn’t even get a suspension for breaking a players neck? Like cmon NHL. I’m not disagreeing with the suspension, but be consistent.
