Filip Forsberg skating for the Nashville Predators in a dramatic 2026-27 fantasy hockey point projection graphic
Filip Forsberg is projected to score 41 goals and 81 points for the Nashville Predators during the 2026-27 NHL fantasy hockey season.

Filip Forsberg is projected to record 41 goals, 40 assists, and 81 points in 84 games for the Nashville Predators during the 2026-27 NHL season.

That projection places Forsberg back above the 80-point mark without requiring an unrealistic career season. The Nashville winger scored 40 goals and added 35 assists for 75 points while playing all 82 games last season. He also generated 246 shots, scored 11 power-play goals and averaged 18:53 of ice time per game. His fantasy value extended beyond scoring, as he finished with 26 power-play points and 124 hits.

The NHL’s move to an 84-game schedule gives Forsberg two additional opportunities to produce, but the real attraction is his secure role. He remains Nashville’s most dangerous all-around offensive winger and should continue receiving first-line minutes, substantial shooting opportunities and a prominent position on the top power-play unit. With Ryan O’Reilly, Jonathan Marchessault, Steven Stamkos and Roman Josi available as experienced power-play options, Forsberg should once again be one of the safest Nashville Predators players to target in Fantasy Hockey.

Why Filip Forsberg Can Reach 80 Points in 2026-27 Fantasy Hockey

Forsberg’s recent production gives us a useful range for his 2026-27 point projection. He established career highs with 48 goals, 46 assists, and 94 points in 2023-24. That was followed by 31 goals and 76 points in 2024-25 before his goal total climbed back to 40 last season.

Season Games Goals Assists Points
2023-24 82 48 46 94
2024-25 82 31 45 76
2025-26 82 40 35 75
2026-27 projection 84 41 40 81

My projection model gives 50 percent weight to Forsberg’s most recent season, 30 percent to 2024-25 and 20 percent to his career-best 2023-24 campaign. That produces a weighted baseline of approximately 79 points over an 82-game schedule. Expanding that rate across 84 games brings the projection almost exactly to 81 points.

The calculation is not simply a three-year average. It also considers Forsberg’s established top-unit role, shooting volume and Nashville’s offensive personnel. Conversely, I have not projected him near his career-high 94 points because that season required 48 goals and a level of even-strength production that should not automatically be treated as his new normal.

Filip Forsberg Fantasy Hockey Draft Value

My personal view is that Forsberg remains more valuable in multi-category Fantasy Hockey leagues than his raw point projection suggests. A winger capable of approaching 40 goals while contributing shots, hits and power-play production is difficult to replace. Even when his assists decline, his willingness to shoot and play a physical game protects his fantasy floor.

The main concern is age-related risk and Nashville’s changing forward group. Forsberg will turn 32 before the season, and the Predators have added Ross Colton, Jack Drury, Mavrik Bourque, Alexander Kerfoot and Nils Höglander during a busy offseason. Those additions should give Nashville more offensive depth, although they also create greater competition for premium minutes.

Forsberg should nevertheless remain ahead of that competition. He is the established finisher on the roster, and his 16.3 percent shooting rate last season was strong without being so extreme that a major collapse should be expected. As long as he stays healthy and retains his first-unit power-play position, another season in the range of 38 to 43 goals appears realistic.

Final 2026-27 Filip Forsberg projection: 41 goals, 40 assists and 81 points in 84 games.

That makes Forsberg a strong target after the elite tier of fantasy wingers has left the board. He carries a dependable goal-scoring floor, valuable category coverage and enough upside to outperform this projection should Nashville’s revamped supporting cast improve its five-on-five offence.
