Picture of Elias Lindholm. Will he be traded to the Boston Bruins this offseason?
The latest NHL trade rumors have Calgary Flames forward Elias Lindholm headed to the Boston Bruins as a Patrice Bergeron replacement.

With Patrice Bergeron announcing his retirement the other day, the Boston Bruins have a big hole to fill at the center ice position.

The Bruins currently have Pavel Zacha slated to be the number one center, with Charlie Coyle leading the second line, Morgan Geekie down the middle on the third line and Patrick Brown as the fourth-line center.

The Bruins will need an upgrade and NHL trade rumors are making the rounds that they could be targeting Calgary Flames center Elias Lindholm.

Boston Bruins interested in an Elias Lindholm trade

NHL trade rumors have Calgary Flames center Elias Lindholm not re-signing in Calgary next season, making him expendable this offseason.

Lindholm plays a similar style to Patrice Bergeron and finished second in the Selke Trophy voting to Bergeron in the 2021-22 season.

Lindholm, 28, is coming off a campaign where he put up 64 points (22g, 42a) in 80 games played.

What would it cost for the Boston Bruins to make a trade for Elias Lindholm? The Flames are either asking for Jeremy Swayman and Jake Debrusk or Matt Grezlck and a first-round pick.

What are Boston Bruins fans saying about a potential Elias Lindholm trade?

The Boston Bruins have nothing of value we would want as Calgary Flames fans. Jake DeBrusk can stay in Boston.

I still have hopes of Elias Lindholm re-signing in Calgary. If a deal cannot be completed, yes we need to trade him but only for a great return.

We want pasta in return for Lindholm. The Bruins have nothing we need. They have been picked clean besides their two goalies.
