Before the NHL Trade Deadline the New Jersey Devils let teams know that David Clarkson was available for a trade.
Rumors are he will not re-sign with the Devils in the off-season and they do not want to lose him for nothing.
Clarkson is coming off a 30 goal season, and he currently has 23 points in 45 games.
The asking price could be a 2nd round pick for negotiating rights in the off-seasson, but a team will only consider that if you think you can sign him.
Rumors are he wants to sign with his home town team the Toronto Maple Leafs when the free agency period starts in July.
