Daniel Cleary has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Detroit Red Wings.
The contract news comes just days after reports surfaced that Cleary would be with the Philadelphia Flyers on a tryout contract.
Detroit general manager Ken Holland said the deal is worth $1.75 million.
Cleary, 34, had nine goals and 15 points for the Red Wings in the lockout-shortened season last year.
