The Fourth Period reports the Winnipeg Jets are getting calls about forward Andrew Copp, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this July.
The Fourth Period states the Washington Capitals, Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Rangers and Colorado Avalanche all have interest in a Copp trade.
It is believed the asking price is a mid-level pick and a prospect. Copp, 27, has a salary cap hit of $3.64 million and has 13 goals and 19 assists for 32 points in 52 games.
The Jets are willing to retain a portion of Copp’s salary to facilitate a trade.
