Columbus Blue Jackets trades coming this offseason
The Columbus Blue Jackets are one of the youngest teams in the league and will look to sign veteran players this coming offseason.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have had a disappointing season after the big offseason move of adding Johnny Gaudreau to the lineup.

The Blue Jackets were expected to be playoff contenders but turned into pretenders and are now all-in on the Connor Bedard sweepstakes.

Columbus is one of the youngest teams in the league and they will be looking to add leadership this offseason.

Blues Jackets will trade or sign veteran leadership

The Blue Jackets sit dead last in the NHL standings, which gives the team the best odds to land Bedard at the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, but if they don’t get the #1 overall, they would be more than happy taking Adam Fantilli at #2.

With the drafting and having a young lineup, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports the Blue Jackets need veteran leaders who know how to win in the NHL.

Portzline went on to say in his piece that GM Jarmo Kekalainen will be looking to add some veteran leadership in the offseason as teams will need to unload salary through trade or they just can’t afford to re-sign them.

What are fans saying about future Columbus Blue Jackets trades

Columbus needs to tank rest of the season, get a high draft pick(Hopefully Bedard) and sign or trade for some veterans to mentor the kids

Will any veterans even want to sign or be traded to Columbus? Quick wanted no part of the Blue Jackets!

I hope Columbus turns things around, they do have a passionate fan base and if they land Bedard, veterans will lineup to play for Columbus.
