Could the Patrick Kane trade saga come to an end in the next seven days? Will he decide to move on from the Chicago Blackhawks and accept a trade to a Stanley Cup contender?
Kane has been on fire the past four games with 10 points (7g, 3a) and showcasing his skill that could help a team pay up for his services.
Oilers have a trade offer in for Patrick Kane
Elliotte Friedman reported on the Jeff Marek Radio Show that Oilers GM Ken Holland has made a pitch for Patrick Kane but it’s up to the winger to decide if he wants to accept a trade to Edmonton.
Friedman went on to say in his radio hit that Holland wants the option of having a strong second line if they put Connor McDavid & Leon Draisaitl together. The second line would consist of Evander Kane-Ryan Nugent-Hopkins-Patrick Kane.
On the radio this morning Darren Dreger was on TSN Radio 1050 and confirmed the interest from the Oilers but also stated that the New York Rangers are back in the mix for Kane’s services.
The Rangers, like the Oilers would need a 3rd team involved to help broker a trade.
