They need to thoroughly assess what they have internally before making another significant splash in the trade market. It’s a calculated risk, but one that could pay dividends if the current roster surprises.
Broader NHL Trade Winds and Cap Projections
Beyond Toronto, the trade landscape is starting to take shape across the league. The Philadelphia Flyers, for instance, are reportedly among the busiest teams in trade talks, specifically looking to shake up their defensive corps. This isn’t surprising given their ongoing rebuild efforts.
Meanwhile, the Vancouver Canucks continue their well-documented hunt for a middle-six center, a need that has persisted for some time.
