If Tyler Myers is traded, it will be after September 1 when he is due his $5 million signing bonus. The San Jose Sharks are one of a few teams that can afford to take on his $6 million salary cap hit.

NHL trade rumors have been making the rounds on social media that even though Myers is a minute muncher and the Canucks need him, he will be moved and San Jose is the likely destination.

Myers is NOT be traded to the San Jose Sharks. The Canucks need him and will just let him walk when free agency hits next offseason.

I thought Myers looked good last year. His $6 million cap hit will be tough to trade and he does own a modified no-trade clause.

Tyler Myers is a solid #4 defeseman. The Sharks can make the trade after September 1st and then flip him at the NHL trade deadline for some draft capital.

  1. Trade him already , they have a few guys that could easily replace him and be more physical . The only thing Myers has is size but he never uses that in his play , Matt Irwin could easily take his place
