The Ottawa Senators and Vancouver Canucks have both been disappointing teams in the first quarter of the season. Both teams were thought to be playoff contenders, but they have been pretenders so far.

What is being said about a Nikita Zaitsev for Tyler Myers trade
Elliotte Friedman was on his 32 Thoughts Podcast and stated the Senators and Canucks management have talked about a Tyler Myers for Nikita Zaitsev deal.
The problem Friedman is hearing about that trade scenario is both players own a 10 to no-trade clause and one or both might not want to be traded to the destination.
Friedman also reports that there are draft picks involved in the potential Myers for Zaitsev trade and Ottawa and Vancouver cannot agree on what picks will be traded.
It is rumored that the Senators want an additional draft pick in the potential trade as Tyler Myers is due a $5 million signing bonus on July 1, 2023.
