CSNBAYAREA.COM: Kevin Kurz is reporting that the San Jose Sharks are looking to add a defenceman and they should target Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Roman Polak. Kurz also doubts the Sharks will trade veteran forward Patrick Marleau by the NHL trade deadline. This will likely be a off-season move.
Vancouver Canucks tried to trade Brandon Prust

It’s believed the Washington Capitals had some interest in Prust, but his salary has posed a problem. The only way the Canucks will be able to trade Prust is if they eat some of his cap-hit.
