Sergei Bobrovsky NHL Trade Rumors December 10, 2018
The Philadelphia Flyers will likely try and sign Sergei Bobrovsky this summer.

Will the Philadelphia Flyers go after  Sergei Bobrovsky

Sportsnet: The Philadelphia Flyers will be looking for another answer this summer for goaltending help. That may just be Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky.

The Flyers once signed Sergei Bobrovsky as an undrafted free agent out of Russia. The same Bobrovsky they traded to Columbus for a second-, third- and fourth-round draft pick, only to see him win the Vezina Trophy twice. What a big mistake that was.

It is believed the New York Islanders will also take a run at Bobrovsky this summer. The Flyers will have lots of cap space next year to sign Bobrovsky, but will he want to go to a rebuilding team with a bottom tier defence core?

Toronto Maple Leafs interested in Blues Pietrangelo and Parayko?

Sportsnet: Nick Kypreos certainly made a big headline on the weekend, tossing right-shot defenceman Alex Pietrangelo’s name into the nhl trade rumour mill and attaching it to the Toronto Maple Leafs during our “Headlines” segment.

It would take some doozy of a trade for the Leafs and Blues to make that one work — although with the teams going in opposite directions there’s at least the motivation to explore a potential fit.

The Leafs are likely not to trade Matthews, Marner, Nylander or Reilly for Pietrangelo but the Leafs would part with Kasperi Kapanen, prospects and picks.

Darren Dreger was on TSN Radio this morning and he believes the Leafs would be more interested in Colton Parayko. Again, it would take Kapanen, a top prospect and a pick to likely land Parayko.
