What are Leaf fans saying about the Ryan O’Reilly trade?

I’m a bit doubtful about this trade. A 1st and 3rd in the Bedard draft seems like a high cost for a rental. But if they have a secret agreement in place for an extension I would feel better about it. And Acciari is a nice bonus but…. the draft picks…

I just cant get in to my head why Leafs would need more offensive power, it is already top notch even without O’Reilly. Defense is what wins championships, just look at Lightning. I am afraid Toronto will drop at first round unless a new solid D is also acquired.

I know some fans will say we overpaid but at the NHL trade deadline that’s the time you have to, this is an ALL IN year imo so THANK YOU Kyle Dubas.
