Habs looking to trade Nathan Beaulieu

The Score: Francois Gagnon of RDS is reporting Montreal Canadiens general manager Michel Bergevin is fielding offers for 23-year-old defenseman Nathan Beaulieu. Latest Kevin Shattenkirk trade rumors

TSN 1050: Darren Dreger was on the radio and thinks Kevin Shattenkirk is a trade target but doesn’t know if there’s anything brewing that would be considered “a front-burner scenario.” Shattenkirk could be dealt for a forward if GM Doug Armstrong feels his club lacks sufficient depth up front.

When will Jacob Trouba sign with the Jets?

Winnipeg Free Press: Winnipeg Jets restricted free agent defenseman Jacob Trouba has no doubt he’ll be in the club’s starting lineup for their season opener next month. Trouba will consider signing a new contract after the World Cup, as he prefers to have his focus on the tournament. Reports are Trouba is seeking $7 million annually over eight years, realistically his new deal could fall into the dollar range between Pittsburgh’s Olli Maatta’s $4.1 million per season over six years or Calgary’s Dougie Hamilton’s $5.75 million per over six seasons.
