CSNPHILLY.COM: Philadelphia Flyers GM Ron Hextall, unable to trade Vincent Lecavalier to the Nashville Predators, has turned his attention to the Ottawa Senators. Rumors are the Senators want the Flyers to pick up a hefty portion of Lecavalier’s salary (Hextall is reportedly willing to pick up $1 million annually)

Adam Vigan of NBC Washington: Washington Capitals GM Brian MacLellan reiterated that Mike Green is very much in the Capitals’ immediate plans. Rumors had been going around the Caps were shopping Green because of the recent additions of Matt Niskanen and Brooks Orpik.

“I also think with Mike Green, [Orpik] would help stabilize his game, make him feel a little more confident in the D-zone and maybe give him more confidence to go offensively,” MacLellan said

Frank Seravalli: Peter Mueller is one of the best UFA still left to be signed. His agent will not say what teams are interested, but the Flyers are in the mix.
