The New York Rangers are looking to make some trade deadline moves and have been linked to J.T Miller and Artturi Lehkonen. NHL trade rumors circulating have the Rangers also showing interest in Winnipeg Jets veteran forward Paul Stastny.
Greg Wyshynski of ESPN reports Stastny,is the wily veteran choice who can fill in where needed, add pop to special teams, win critical faceoffs and be a voice of calm in the dressing room.
Wyshynski went on to say, Stastny would be a perfect fit for the Rangers, he provides depth scoring and has great leadership skills that would help the Blue Shirts for a Stanley Cup run.
Stastny, 36, has a $3.75 million AAV, and will be a UFA in summer and has no trade protection. There is no word on what the asking price is, but it will likely be a 2nd or 3rd round pick.
