Buffalo Sabres defenceman Tyler Myers is getting considerable interest from Multiple teams.
GM Tim Murray is listening to offers and if the right deal does come along he will trade Myers.
Rumors are the Toronto Maple Leafs, Anaheim Ducks and the Colorado Avalanche are definitely looking at Myers.
If Myers is to be traded, GM Murray is looking for top prospects, young players or draft picks. i.e. Leafs would have to give up Kadri and Gardiner for Myers.

Gardiner and Kadri for Myers is a fair deal no question.
As long as Nonis is at the Helm were done…he is just another repeat offender of high priced long term contracts…using the excuse “well someone else would have paid them”….blowing the Salary Cap with little room to make improvements…Phanooof and Clarkson are great examples of highly overpaid guys in the right position at the right time…we can’t even resign Boland….look at how “most” of the Ex Leafs perform after they leave…instead of bringing in Players that fit the current program they attempt to “mold” them into something they are not…they leave and then excel….
The leafs are not a cup contender, therefore changes need to be made. Pull the trigger Nokia.
What is the style of hockey the Leafs want to play? Boston brings in players that fit their system and get rid of players who don’t (see Kessel, Seguin). It is quite obvious that Toronto wants to freewheel. Phaneuf, Clarkson, Orr, Kulimen, Mclelland etc do not fit the system. Playing Phaneuf on the powerplay does not work. Clarkson has been a bust (Wendel Clarkson- right. Kadri needs to be with offensive players. When I see Kulimen out there I wonder what is the reasoning. We do not have a number 1 or 2 defenceman. That is obvious. On a good team Phaneuf might be number 4. The rest are number 5 defensemen. I see so many more defensive collapses coming- sad to say.

Nonis needed to go when Burk left…Burk would still be here and we would be in a very different position if he didn’t put his friendship ahead of the Team….Mr. Magoo (Wilson F’d much up). As long as Phanooof remains Captain we are doomed as well…he is at best a 4th liner that crumbles under pressure…I’ve said this many times since Burk departed…BRING IN THE GREAT ONE! We would regain the “Class” of 93 and attract players that will not come to TO otherwise. Carlyle a good defensive coach however we only have a couple D-Men and the rest of the Team are Thoroughbreds…meant to FLY not meant to continually shore up a a crappy defense…
It would be a huge mistake if the leafs trade Kadri and Gardiner for Myers. A better trade would be Gardiner and a 2nd rounder IMO. Myers stock has fallen quite a bit since his rookie year.
