Will the Toronto Maple Leafs trade Joffrey Lupul
TSN Radio 1050: Darren Dreger was on the radio and talking about what the Toronto Maple Leafs will do at the NHL Trade Deadline. Besides the usual Leafs being mentioned in the rumor mill with short-term contracts that will be traded for prospects or draft picks. Dreger feels Joffrey Lupul could be traded to a contending team that needs scoring help. The Leafs will likely get calls about Tyler Bozak but Dreger feels if the Leafs were to trade Bozak or Nazem Kadri, that will happen in the off-season.
Ondrej Pavelec trade rumors
Winnipeg Sun: With Connor Hellebuyck taking over as the starting goalie, will the Jets try to free up some cap space by trading Ondrej Pavelec? Ken Wiebe of the Sun wonders if the Jets might trade Pavelec. He suggests the Calgary Flames as an option, as both their current goalies (Jonas Hiller and Karri Ramo) are UFAs this summer.
Is Kris Versteeg headed back to Chicago?
Chicago Sun-Times: The Chicago Blackhawks could consider bringing back winger Kris Versteeg, who’s currently having a great season with the Carolina Hurricanes. Versteeg is on a 50-point pace. The Hurricanes are just out of a playoff spot, but if they continue to fall-out of position, GM Ron Francis will consider moving Versteeg.
