Brady Tkachuk celebrates in a Florida Panthers uniform ahead of his 2026-27 fantasy hockey projection.
Brady Tkachuk enters the 2026-27 season with the Florida Panthers projected for 35 goals, 50 assists and 85 points, giving fantasy hockey managers legitimate 90-point upside.

Brady Tkachuk might be walking into the best offensive situation of his NHL career, and fantasy hockey managers should be paying attention.

After producing 22 goals and 37 assists for 59 points in only 60 games with the Ottawa Senators last season, Tkachuk was traded to the Florida Panthers on June 21, 2026. That 59-point season translates to roughly an 81-point pace over 82 games, and now he gets to join an offense featuring Matthew Tkachuk, Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart.

My early Brady Tkachuk fantasy hockey projection for 2026-27 is 35 goals, 50 assists and 85 points.

And 85 may actually be the conservative number.

The most intriguing part of Tkachuk’s move to the Florida Panthers isn’t simply the quality of his new linemates. It is how perfectly his game can complement Florida’s offensive structure. Tkachuk creates chances around the crease, generates enormous shot volume and gives fantasy managers production in categories that most point-producing forwards cannot match.

For standard multi-category fantasy hockey leagues, that combination could make him even more valuable than his 85 projected points suggest.

Brady Tkachuk 2026-27 Fantasy Hockey Projection

Here is my NHLTradeRumor.com projection entering the season:

NHLTradeRumor.com Fantasy Projection
Brady Tkachuk – Florida Panthers
35
Goals
50
Assists
85
Points
Fantasy ceiling: 90+ points if Tkachuk stays healthy and earns a permanent role on Florida’s first power-play unit.

The starting point for my projection is simple. Tkachuk scored 59 points in 60 games last season, good for 0.98 points per game. Maintaining that pace across a full 82-game schedule would produce approximately 81 points.

I am adding roughly four additional points to that baseline because I expect Florida’s surrounding talent and power-play opportunities to produce more secondary assists and high-danger scoring chances.

That gives me 35 goals + 50 assists = 85 points.

Interestingly, NHL.com’s own preseason projection is slightly more aggressive at 87 points, and it currently lists Tkachuk as Florida’s highest-ranked fantasy player at No. 20 overall. NHL.com also notes that over the past five seasons Tkachuk is the only NHL player with at least 300 points, 1,000 shots and 800 hits — exactly why his fantasy value extends well beyond traditional scoring.

Why Florida’s Power Play Could Push Brady Tkachuk Higher

The biggest reason I see upside beyond 85 points is Florida’s power play.

Tkachuk is expected to see significant first-unit opportunities alongside Matthew Tkachuk, Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart. The final spot could go to Aaron Ekblad, Seth Jones or potentially another forward depending on how the Panthers structure the unit.

That group creates a fascinating situation for Brady.

He does not need to become the primary puck carrier. Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk can create possession, Reinhart is one of the league’s premier finishing threats around the net, and Brady can concentrate on what he does extremely well: establishing position around the crease, creating screens, winning loose pucks and generating high-danger opportunities.

Florida should also be able to create more rebound and deflection opportunities than Tkachuk consistently enjoyed earlier in his career.

NHL tracking data strengthens that argument. Tkachuk has ranked among the league’s most dangerous players around the net, and NHL.com noted that since puck-and-player tracking began in 2021-22, he ranks third in high-danger shots on goal.

That matters enormously for fantasy hockey.

A player generating that much shot volume and attacking dangerous areas doesn’t need an unsustainable shooting percentage to reach 35 goals.

My Fantasy Hockey Take on Brady Tkachuk

If I am drafting in a league that counts shots, hits, penalty minutes or power-play points, I value Brady Tkachuk even higher than his projected point total.

There simply aren’t many players capable of delivering legitimate 80-to-90-point upside while also potentially giving managers elite production in shots and physical categories.

The Florida move also changes his week-to-week floor. There should be fewer games where opposing teams can devote all of their defensive attention to Tkachuk because Florida can attack through multiple dangerous lines.

Put Matthew Tkachuk, Barkov, Reinhart and Brady Tkachuk on the same roster and somebody is going to draw a favourable matchup.

That is why I would be comfortable targeting Brady inside the top 20 overall in a standard category draft.

The risk is primarily health. He played only 60 games last season, so projecting 82 games would be aggressive. But if Tkachuk gets into the 75-to-80-game range while keeping a permanent PP1 role, 35 goals, 50 assists and 85 points feels very attainable.

And if everything goes right?

A 90-point season would not surprise me.
