The Edmonton Oilers have gone to the KHL to help address their issues on the blue line.
The Oilers announced that they have agreed to terms with 26-year-old defenceman Anton Belov on a one-year entry-level contract.
The 6’4″ defenceman posted nine goals and 17 assists in 46 games while having a plus-19 rating with Avangard Omsk during the 2012-13 season.
Most recently, Belov played for Russia at the World Hockey Championship where he recorded one goal and three assists along with a plus-8 rating in eight games.
