Here are the early 2019 – 2020 NHL regular season projections and 2020 NHL playoff predictions.

In the Eastern Conference the New Jersey Devils will be back in the playoffs along with the Florida Panthers. The Carolina Hurricanes and Columbus Blue Jackets will not make the playoffs and take a step back. The New York Islanders just squeak in over the New York Rangers.

In the Western Conference, five teams will make the playoffs from the very tough Central Division. The 2020 NHL playoffs will again be without Connor McDavid as the Edmonton Oilers just barely miss the playoffs with the Dallas Stars taking the last Wild card spot.
