Erik Karlsson NHL Trade Rumors August 23, 2018
The Vancouver Canucks are showing interest in Erik Karlsson and have the assets to make a trade.

Vancouver Canucks interested in Erik Karlsson

FAN 590: Jeff Marek was on the radio and was asked about Erik Karlsson and Vancouver’s interest in him. Marek believes Karlsson and has wife have talked with the Sedin Twins about Vancouver, what it is like to live there. The Canucks do have the assets to make a trade with Ottawa but does Karlsson want to play in Vancouver

It’s believed the Vegas Golden Knights, Dallas Stars and San Jose Sharks, who have all had varying degrees of interest since the Senators started listening to offers for the 28-year-old Karlsson before last year’s NHL trade deadline, have all circled back to the club in the last few days.

The Senators don’t feel any sense of urgency to move Karlsson and, if he’s not dealt, they fully expect him to report to training camp. The belief is the asking price is at least four assets in return, including a player who can help the club immediately, a first-round pick and a high-end prospect.

Latest Artemi Panarin trade rumors

NBC Sports: With Artemi Panarin unwilling to sign an extension before the season, could the Columbus Blue Jackets move him before the puck drops in October? General manager Jarmo Kekalainen could move Panarin before the season, during the season or he could decide to keep him for a playoff run and lose him to free agency for nothing but Columbus does NOT want a John Tavares situation. Whatever decision Kekalainen does make will ultimately determine the team’s fate.

If he does hit free agency next summer, one team that would be “very seriously considered” by Panarin would be his former club, the Chicago Blackhawks, according to a report from Scott Powers of The Athletic.
